You guys I CANNOT believe it is 60 degrees in the middle of February. For the midwest, this is GD unheard off! Is this the reason why people from the midwest love talking about the weather, or is that just me?
Anyway, Bill and I spend the long weekend in Chicago, enjoying margaritas and the city. Lots of eating, drinking, and walking. I compromised and agreed that I would limit the shopping because sales tax on clothes in Chicago is a thing and we have most of the stores in Minny where there is zero tax. I’ll highlight some of the cute spots we ventured to in the upcoming week.
Knowing it was going to be 60 and sunny, I packed essentials; a comfy t-shirt dress and sneaks. We ended up logging like 6 miles in one day (the same day we did a SoulCycle class!!) so I’m glad I packed some comfy basics.
One of the dresses I packed included this cute mint green one. The mint color is the perfect early welcome for spring but the long sleeves were ideal for the lake breeze.
Can we agree dresses with pockets are LIFE CHANGING? Pockets on anything really. I love them on this dress because the stripes are asymmetrical to the rest of the pattern. FUN DETAILS.
I also love these sneakers because they’re supes casual and not super athletic-y. You know, not like bulky running shoes? I love me a nice clean sneaker and scored these for literally $12 from an in-store online return. The thing that I will say is that these are NOT athletic-y so after the 5th mile, my feet were a litttttle sore.
I’m SO over my winter cardigans and chunky knits so I’m realllly hoping this weather is here to stay. I just got some cute off the shoulder tops, one shoulder tops (yes this 2000 trend is back!!!) and light trench coats I can’t wait to share with you gals.
Will be back for a recap of Chicago but in the meantime this dress is on sale and comes in mint green and black and gray. I’ve also linked some cute t-shirt dresses and sneaks below 🙂
